Another Hornes Archery Success Story
« on: May 06, 2010, 11:54:00 AM »
My 15 year old son and I just completed the Horne's Archery Bow School last weekend and all I can say is WOW! Both my son and I are beginning archers and very poor at woodworking so Mark Horne certainly had a challenge on his hands with us. Needless to say he was extremely patient with both of us and guided us the whole way. We both came away from their school with what I think are 2 of the prettiest bows out there...yes, they shoot very well. Now if the shooter (me) could get better we would have a great combination. We both gained more knowledge in 2 days than we have in almost 1 year of research on our own. Mark took much of the mystery out of matching arrows to bows while explaining in easy to understand terms arrow flight and dynamics. By the way, we also became fast friends with the other 2 participants. I would highly recommend Horne's Bow School for anybody - not just beginners. Not only do you come away with your own custom built bow in 1 weekend, you will make friends and in my case I got to spend some quality, one on one time with my son. I can't thank Mark and Sandy enough for their patience and if you don't go to their school (bow making class) you have truly missed a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Note: They will have a class in Colorado this summer....I wasn't a good enough salesperson to get that done at home but that would be even better.
New at this but trying to learn

Tate,

We really enjoyed our time with you and Carter.  You guys built a couple of really nice bows in the class.
We will post photos from the class later today so everyone can see your finished bows.

Coby,

You need to hurry up and finish your nursing classes so you can come and enjoy the class.

Mark

Tate,
It was a pleasure meeting you and Carter.  I thought I should put up the pic Sandy took of our group with our new "instruments."

Best of luck with your new bows.

Mark, thanks once again for letting us get in there and making some beautiful bows, not to mention making sure I didn't mess up my new baby.
