Conversion Varnish Survey
« on: May 02, 2007, 10:58:00 AM »
Just wanted to see who has been using it for a while and who is happy...who's not?

I was using an expensive auto-body clear coat, used it on about 5 bows. Looked phenomenal, but ended up with bonding issues...mostly on the wood..not on the glass. If you banged it on something, it would lift, then just start to peel completely off...?? I may have to try it again....

but..I sure am happy with how the CV goes on and how it looks and its durability/hardness. I have word from several that have NOT had trouble with cracking on the limbs...but now some of you have me worried!! :0)

THanks for input,

Ernie

I've been using it for years and have never had a problem with it.  We build a couple of bows too.  LOL

Sherwin Williams or are you referring to FP? I recently purchased some FP Satin to try, I should be spraying some this weekend.

Dang didn't even notice the fall city.  I grew up in Lk. Stevens but used to be the telephone man in Duvall.

Small world.
