Glad you guys like it-not sure how good I'll be at actually killing something with it all, but I sure plan on giving it my best  :) .

Shakes- The dye I used is "Eco-Flo" all in one, color is acorn brown.  The leather was a light tan suede which sucked it right up.  For reference, the arm guard was also dyed, but not suede and started out the same color as the undyed stringer in the picture.  I got the dye for a couple bucks at the Hobby Lobby, but it has a Tandy logo on the front, so I'm assuming they just got it from them?  Also, be sure not to spill any on the carpet as it seems VERY difficult to get out...hypothetically speaking... :knothead:

I'm actually pondering the arrow/broadhead setup, too.  Talked to a geologist at the BLM a little while back about places to find obsidian...  Guess when the addiction sets it, easier just to go with it?     :help:

Congratulations! I know that feeling of having made your own gear and the fact that it really works for you.

You did a good job!

Thanks for sharing it with us.

You may have even given someone else what they needed to step out and try making something for themselves.

God bless,Mudd
