Generational bows
« on: May 23, 2010, 06:51:00 AM »
How many of you hunt with a bow that was handed down from your father(or Mother) or Gradfather,
Also what about bows you have handed down? My father was an avid bird hunter but did not bowhunt so I dont have a story. My hunting partner of 40 years has a mid 70s Bear Super Mag 45# that is the official first bow of new archers in his family It has passed though at lest 5 already and is now waiting the next generation

I actually have three that were handed down.

The first was my grandfather's hunting bow. I used it for a couple seasons, killed a few deer, and retired it.

The second was my great uncle's hunting bow. I used it for several years of bowfishing, but it's pretty much retired now too.

Lastly was my father's target bow, which my wife shoots these days.
