Ive got an itchin to shoot some pigs.
I live in Oregon where the pig population is rather low.
I Figure Id have to drive to Northern California to even see a pig.
Can you guys recommend a decent outfitter for a semi guided hunt?
Or even better,
Tell me how to find the hogs here in southern Oregon...

William Shamrock Ranch in Northern CA is recommended-never been there myself.

Check in with Bob Larson at The Hillside Hog Haven. I've been bowhunting up there with him for more than 15 years. His ranch is infested with hogs and he only does one hunt a week. He has already finished up for the spring, but will be resuming for the fall in October (?) I think. He books up fast, so call early if you want to get a hunt set up. (707) 847-3727. He is a trad hunter himself as well!

Depending on where in OR it may be cheaper to fly into LA, rent a car and be on the Tejon ranch in an hour.
They have a $300 archery only mgmt hunt next weekend. I'll be there with a good buddy. It is steep country that is as beautiful as it is mean, but full of hogs and a place you will always come back to.
Good luck either way...
