I have never bid before, but found something I would like.  How do I go about bidding on the item.

Just place your bid the same way that you would make a post on a thread here on the powwow.

Now that the auction is on, you go right to the # bidding forum that "your" item is listed on (1-4), find the listing and then post your bid in that thread just like you post on any thread. Good luck on it, teach, and bless your heart for wanting to help.

Yep, very simple as described.  When the auction is over Terry and Doug will post the high bid on each thread and the winning bidder will then need to send payment to Doug.  The person that listed the item will ship it directly to you.

Some listings ask for the buyer to pay shipping, so that cost would need to then be paid directly to the person that donated.  But the high bid proceeds all go to Doug.

All the details are included in the "How the auction works" thread.

Have fun!

Okay, after I posted the question, I went and figured it out, but thanks for the help.
