New to me Morrison Dakota
« on: June 05, 2010, 07:27:00 PM »
So, I bit the bullet on Raging Water's Morrison Dakota.  I received the bow yesterday from Big Brown unscathed roughly 5 minutes before I had to leave.  I managed to put 4 quick shots downrange and ran off to work.

Somehow I managed to not work 7 days this week and got the day off today to play a little with my new bow.

She is a 2004 58" 55@28 Morrison Dakota and lemme tell ya, Mr. Morrison knows how to build'em!  This baby smokes an arrow!  I have to do a little bit of arrow tuning, but from zero to 30 it goes right in there.

I was worried the 58" bow would be a problem with my almost 30" draw, but it's not at all.  I like it!

Thanks to Raging Waters I'm the proud owner of a very nice copperhead skinned Morrison Dakota!  It's everything he described, thanks!

Here's a few pics of the bow and my last 25yd shots of the day.

Nice bow.  Morrison is all that I shoot.  Got rid of all the others after I started shooting my first Morrison.  They seem to fit me perfect.

Man o Man, I miss that bow already.

Hey, it is a great bow. I hope it serves you well.

By the way, nice grouping. I must have held the bow wrong. My groupings were not that good. Must be my grip, right?

Must be Matt!  I didn't take me long to get it going.  I've always shot longbows better for some reason and I like this grip and it really does smoke an arrow.

Didn't you have a real looker of a Dakota?

What are the woods on this again?  Looks like walnut, osage, and maybe boo limbs?

I'm hoping to really terrorize the turkey and deer this fall!  Can't wait.
