4" nanners
« on: June 10, 2010, 10:02:00 AM »
Does anyone know where I can buy a dozen 4" banana feathers. I'm not picky about color. I just want to experiment. I now shoot 4 fletch 4" parabolics and want to see how the bananas fly and if they are any quieter.

Funny, I just spent an hour searching here and didn't come up with much of anything. I'll keep an eye on this post.

I shot a selection of arrows at a 20 yd. target and had my camera on the ground in front set for movie and sound. The banana cut seemed to be the most noisy. All of them had noise. Hmm. Maybe thats why they jump the string.

I had a "chopper" made to cut 4 in. I ended up giving it away. I did not like the "look" of the short 4 in. Bannana. Looked like a flu-flu.
To each his own I guess.

If you're looking for lefties, I have a dozen orange barred, at least a dozen orange, and a couple yellows. With the 4 inch I haven't really noticed any noise issues. With the higher profile longer bannnas you hear a little more hiss.

How high would you like a 4" nanner to be?
