David...close huh? Man wish he would have come around front for ya.

Frank, turkeys are no longer in my yard. They have moved (as they always do) up the valley for mating season. Can't seem to call them back.
Had one working the other morning but he wouldn't come that extra 100 yards that I needed him to come.

I heard one like that fly down this morning. No gobbling with the moon so bright I'm sure he saw us come in. I also found parts of one today someone lost.

What a beauty of a bird Ferret.

I hunted with Tim Fishell and Steve,,,(jacobsladder), it came toghether at about 1:30pm Sat.
Called a bird within about 15 to 18 yards and no one could get a shot at the tom cause of the thicker brush but they said he came in strutting. I was back about 25 yards from Tim and the bird was in front of him about 15, Steve was to the right of the bird and he was back about 18.I was back behind these fellas callin. They said he came in struttin taking his time, turning red. This was Steve's first time turkey huntin and he's hooked, he just loved seein that bird in all its glory up close and personal, Tim said the bird seen something and just split right out of the area,   "[dntthnk]"    But thats turkey hunting, they got eyes like an eagle. We had a blast runnin and bowin for those birds sat. These fellas were up to it without the blind. I give'em a lot of credit for gettin into it like they did.
