Hill Country Bows at Comptons
« on: June 12, 2010, 04:55:00 PM »
It'll be a bit different this year at Comptons.
Since I've gotten the kids involved in shooting, Comptons has become a yearly tradition. We always try to get there on Thursday, get set up, and shoot till we drop.

Last year after the storms, my wife said she would prefer to just come every other year.

SO, I'm asking for a few folks to take Adam and Emma on a course or two as I'll be in the vendor tent most of the time. They don't need babysat just want to shoot with folks.
Adam is 9 and Emma is 12. They could shoot the courses without grownups, I'd just feel more comfortable with adults around.

I'd love to take them out Kenny, your kids are so much fun to hang around with.  But I'm probably going to be stuck in the same tent you are most of the weekend.
If someone else doesn't know Adam and Emma take him up on the offer - you'd be in for a treat

Kenny, it'll be a last minute decision for us if we go because of my work.  If we're there we'll be glad to have them teach us how to shoot.

That's funny Colin. The way you shoot you don't need much teaching, however, Adam will be happy to show you guys how to traverse a 3d course. He'll be able to tell you what target was in each location last year and the year before.

You're giving me too much credit Kenny.  I have never even seen a jackalope let alone give it a fine shot like that!  It's clear I need to get out more.
