Arrow spine recommendations

Hey Gang,
just finished up an osage selfbow(no shelf cut in)and am looking for recommendations for a proper arrow spine to start with. It is 63-65#@26", 65" long. Thanks for the help fellas, Matt

Matt , I would set you up with 55-60# spine, however everybody is different so it would be best for you to try a range of say 50# to 60# and see what flys best for you .
Remeber if you use a 160 grain head add 5# , if you use fast flight add 5#

Matt,I would say Ted is right on. My BBO with no shelf cut in it shot best with arrows that were spined about 10 lbs. lighter then the draw weight.It's a good start,with no shelf you have a big paradox.

If you want to shoot a 27" arrow, I would say 50-54#spine with 125 grain points. If it shows a bit stiff, you can always go to 160's. Ted has sure shot and built a lot more selfbows than me though. LOL!!! But, as he says everybody is different.
