Where to buy supplies?
« on: June 14, 2010, 11:49:00 PM »
I am in the process of making my son's first armguard. I have cut the leather, stamped his name, and put a piece of suede on the inside. Where can I purchase the Elastic bungee cord material to use as the wrap around? I have tried all the local stores but had no luck.
Thanks

Try a Google search for elastic cord or elastic cording.  You will find all types, sizes and colors from a variety of suppliers.

I went to the Hobby Lobby.  I think most craft stores have some type of elastic cord.  Problem for me was finding it thick enough.  The biggest they had was pretty darned small around, so I just made three lengths of it and braided it so it was thicker/stronger.  Good luck

I made a arm guard this past winter and I ordered the elastic from Kustom King. It is cheap and buy plenty of it.
