Didn't get my elk tag  :banghead:  Well, there are still plenty of good over the counter areas.

Gonna try and get a buck over in Trout Creek. It'll be my first time over there.

Bob,

When are you planning on heading to the Trouts? I hunted there last year and saw some tremendous bucks, lots of antelope, and some sheep - in addition to a bunch of law enforcement who found a huge "grow" site!

Are you from Glide?  I grew up in Roseburg, but currently live in El Paso, TX.

Huntwithastick,

I am planning on being in the trouts the opening weekend. This will be my first yeasr there. My brother in law hunted there a few years ago. Thats great to hear you saw some great animals!
I am not from Glide but I have lived here for almost 2 years. I was born and raised in Las Vegas. Are you hunting the trouts this year?

Yes, I'll be hunting there this year!  The reason I was interested in whether or not you grew up there is because the guys I hunt with did!  They have hunted the Trouts quite a bit and we started an "annual" trip last year - this will be my second year hunting with them.  We should be there for the opening weekend or a few days before to get in some scouting.  If you want to PM me your # I could call you when we get out there - I'm always interested in meeting traditional guys from back home!
