I'm looking for an attachable (i.e., no drilling required to mount it) bow quiver for my Fred Bear mag riser take down. The German Ridge quivers look nice, but so do the Kanati and others.

Does anyone have any experience with the German Ridge spring arm quivers? Do they mount solidly to the riser? Do they vibrate or make noise?

Thanks for any insights folks.

I won one on the St Judes auction, will have it in a week or so. I will try it out, and let you know. Pm me if I forget. I may sell it, I dont use bow quivers as a rule, just bid to help the kids. If I do sell it, it will be cheap!

I love mine.  Pops on and off in a flash and is very quiet.  I use it when walking/stalking,  but pop it off when I'm in my stand.  I prefer shooting without a quiver on my bow if at all possible.

As Burnsie said. I like the Eagle's flight better for my longbow however.

I have a German Ridge spring arm quiver. It mounts solid and there is no noise.
On and off fast without the sound of velcro.
I take it off when in my stand.

Larry, I own both.

I have two German Ridge quivers and one Kanati Pro Angle quiver and - like most things – each has their place. The decision you have to make is, "What is your priority... what purpose is #1 to be met?"

If you're going to be stump shooting/walking, or 3D... then I feel the Kanati is the best, bar none!  I like the quivers and I like the gent who makes 'em.

Now, the Kanati bow quiver for tree stand hunting / take on and off?  Well, all I can tell you is that when those knobs fall from 20 feet up (yes, I have "FFS" (aka - Fumble Finger Syndrome)... well, the knobs are hard to find... sometimes, but there isn't a lot of noise when they hit.

As for me when I treestand hunt... I want something quick on and off because I hang my bow quiver on a hook next to me. If you're like me, I suggest you go with the German Ridge.

Now, shooting with a German Ridge as you walk / stalk?  I tried it before, and I don't recommend it.  Yes, the GR does clip on and does stay on, but it sits out to far.  To me, the balance between the bow and the quiver... well, awkward.

Noisy?   If noise bothers you... go Kanati, period, NO DISCUSSION.

Just my opinion.

I agree with Dave above.  A good quiver if you want to remove it on stand.  Loaded with arrows, it does seem to throw off the balance of the bow.  I thought it was kind of noisy too.

I third the 2 previous post. The German Ridge is very well constructed but way to heavy on a light weight bow,I planned to use it on my Bear TD too,but it weight more than the bow itself. The inspiring design was the original Bear quiver that worked well also if a little bit noisy.

KANATI is the best I've ever used!!! Good, well thought out, perfect fit, light weight, secure, beautiful leather, and to top all of that, good people...
