ARROW WEIGHT
« on: June 22, 2010, 11:38:00 AM »
I shoot a 65 pound self bow and wanted to know how heavy arrow I should be shooting. From what I can tell if I go with a carbon like the goldtip traditional with a 125 grain head I will only have about a 450 grain arrow at 30in.My draw is 28in but I shoot 30in arrows. Also what spine would be good to try. Thanks

The common theme here has been 9.5 to 10.5 grains per lb of draw weight is a good base line.  To light of an arrow can cause damage to a bow over time.
