Who says Firefly's don't bite? (pics)
« on: June 26, 2010, 01:06:00 AM »
Finally got a photobucket account and time to post some pics of last years buck.  Killed him Nov. 7th 2009 at 4:05 p.m. in Pierce Co. Wisconsin.  Slipped an arrow tight behind his front shoulder at 12 yards (good thing I'm a better hunter than I am a shot), using my 54lb. Firefly Fx made by Jim Jones, shooting a Beman ICS 300 with 100 gr. brass inserts, 125 gr. Snuffer for 585 gr. arrow.  Penetrated to off shoulder and finally exited 10 yards from where he fell.  He went 35 yards total and from moment of impact died in under 15 seconds. It was a clean kill and I'm most pleased with that.  He's a main frame 8 with crab claw kickers off his G3's making him a 10.  Don't score my deer but figure he's about high 120's to 130.  Only about 175lbs. which was smaller than I'd expect.  Many thanks to my brother in law and his family to extend the invite to me to hunt their property during the rut even though they are bowhunters themselves... their generosity is most appreciated. Enjoy the pics and get fired up for the upcoming season!

******great buck bud, but the pix are too big. Please re-size no bigger than 640 pixels, and re-post*******
