I hear you being a Son and Grandson of union steelworkers but today its almost impossible.  Your computer or TV that you use surely isnt American made, hey the most ridiculous my Dodge is probably less American made than a Toyota!       Anyhow unless you live in the woods with natural stuff its impossible to buy all American.  Back on point did anyone get a email that stuff is shipping?

I personly think Huntmore is a very well made seat and Steve if you look around America's work force we have a lot of different shades of skin making stuff in America....Point is the Huntmore is a product designed by an American and if it fails at least the man who designed it is more then willing to back up his product...My two daughters were made in another country and God made them perfect with His own hands and I didn't reject them because they weren't made in America! I'm sorry Scott has to read remarks about where his products were made cause he seems like an honest guy to deal with...Scott I for one like the quality of my huntmore 360 and Thank You for trying to make us have a longer sit time in the great outdoors...God Bless you Scott and keep up the good work...Keefer's <")))><

Just out of curiosity, I wonder if huntryx has gotten her Huntmore yet?

A "yes" answer would be the update I've been watching for.

How many of you would pay say $995.95 for a huntmore if it were built here in the USA????just what I thought... You should be happy you can get quality seat for under $200, Look around, there is nothing out there that even comes close to this seat, a lot of plastic junk for half the price and it is junk... The last time I talked with Scott, I swear he was as American as I am. If he can come up with A SEAT That is better than anything out there and has to have it built where ever so I can afford it, Thanks Scott.. I'm sure if things go well we can expect more models to choose from..
I'll be hunting from a Huntmore more this year, a little less from treestands.

Bob is right.  As usual.

Scott is a stand up guy and that chair is like sitting in your living room.  I can't count the number of times I have stopped by his booth at various shows to chat and plopped down in one of those chairs--and not wanted to get up.  I should have bought one of these chairs long ago.  Put an extra one in the truck for Kalamazoo sir.

I asked this question on a different Huntmore chair thread but I'll ask it here again.

If I ordered one tomorrow when would it get to my door?

Thank you!

Let me preempt my comments by saying that I am not trying to offend anyone by them.  I am sure that the Huntmore is a fine product.  I just cannot see paying $200 for a chair in this modern economy, especially with some outsourced products.

Bob, you asked if some would pay $995.95 if it were made in America, and that you were OK with it being built elsewhere so you could afford it.  Even if it were completely built in America for the $200 I wouldn't buy it.  Not because it isn't a quality product, but because I can't fathom the idea of paying that much for that type of item, let alone afford it.  Is it this type of thinking that has people legitimizing sending jobs overseas?  I will spend good money on quality products, American made as often as I can.

I will end with food for thought.  What percentage of American hunters do you believe can "afford" an item like this?  Just my .02 cents, and hopefully no one offended.  Mark

Flatlander37, I am not personally offended in any way by your opinion and I also think I understand your point.

Maybe you're correct in saying that this product isn't something a lot of bowhunters can not afford to purchase. But how is that different than what type of vehicle we own to drive us to our hunting areas?

I can't afford a 4 wheeler but a lot of folks can and do use them. I can't afford a 4wheel drive truck, lots of folks can and do.

Do I believe that $200 dollars is a bunch of money? Yes I do! I also know that I have issues with my back that could use something like the Huntmore chair. (based on some of the testimonies I've read on here)

I think it just might help me to be able to hunt with less pain and I will save up out of my meager SSI(very limited resource) and spend it on the chance it will help me.

I personally don't care for the price but it is what it is and I have decided that it's a worthwhile investment in my hunting future.

If you feel that the price is gouging the buyers and users, I respect that as your opinion but I also respect the builders right to put his own price on his own product.

I personally will make whatever sacrifices I have to make in order to get one because it's my choice and my back needs the help.

Mark please understand I mean you no offense and I do respect your opinion. I thank you for sharing it!

My 2 cents worth.

God bless

Roy, No offense at all bud.  I am not saying anybody is gouging anyone on price, and you know that I am a state worker of limited resources too, thanks to our governor.

You are correct about the price, as it is what it is, and if people want to buy it they will.  If it helps you like you stated, then it is well worth every penny!

I guess what I am saying is that I can rationalize paying a reasonable price for a good product, preferably made in America to help out fellow Americans.  In my opinion what is reasonable is defined by ones own limitations, be they financial, moral, or the spouse that tells you NO.  Heck, maybe my back just doesn't hurt enough yet to justify buying any of the chairs on the market!

P/S:  I am looking forward to trying to get together with you and Butch sometime and shoot.

Any time you want to get together for stumping or whatever just pm, e-mail or give me a call.

Season is on the verge of breaking out so we could even get together for a hunt or two.

I have lots of land to hunt(all public) but it's still good. I'm open to coming your way also.

God bless,Mudd

When one gets older comfort while hunting is important.  Comfortable portable chairs that are durable are hard to find.  The 'hunt more' is a good adjustable chair, it still weighs I would bet nearly ten pounds.  That is something to consider when heading out a mile or more into the woods. If you leave it sit, chances are someone will take it.  I like the rotation aspect, that does come in handy.  You could always spend a week or so on a bucket, then when your chair arrives the rewards will be all that much sweeter. There is a bucket out in some public land I hunt, no one ever steals that.

Mudd,

If you would have ordered a stool from me! I could have had it to you in three days and the shipping is included.

I just sold my last one and I am getting more in from Scott as soon as I get my order in.

I had mine in the back yard tonight, my sons (6 and 5) and I shot out of it for a little over a hour.  We took turns shooting one arrow and then letting the next guy shoot one till all of us shot 3 arrows.  Then I sat down, and the kids went and got the arrows for another round.  All 3 of us were hitting the target with authority from 15 yards, and I do believe the HuntMore will be joining me on a hunt to "The Intersection" we found a couple weeks ago on a friends property in Upper Michigan

Just hunted a full day of doves and was quite comfy, even with my skinny butt. I LOVE the swivel aspect and pretended I had my bow in hand moving silently L or R, stock height was perfect. It's not tiny by any means and you need to set it up a couple of times to get it just perfect. I'd add an extra pad to the seat if you're prone to get a sore rear end due to lack of padding, but that's about it. Lower back was not even tired! A day in a cheap/poor design chair that's too low and has no real back support will let you know! I'll probably set mine up, and leave it out where I hunt as it's private property. Love that chair!
