North Dakota Prairie Dogs?
« on: June 28, 2010, 10:58:00 AM »
Heading out next week to go to ND for a mission trip and there is talk of a prairie dog hunt. I'm an eastern boy and have never been out west, so I have no idea about hunting these, except use broadheads.  Most of the guys will use rifles, so I may not even get close enough to take one with a bow.  Not sure if I will have room for my bow, but was wondering what you guys recommend, if I should take my bow with me?

I use judo points, and I've found in ND that the dogs get shot at a lot from rifle hunters so getting real close with a bow is tough.  Good luck!

Sounds like fun.I would think any tip that you use for tree squirrels will work.Take some camo and knee pads.
You can hop but you can't hide.
If it was not for rabbits I would never get a buck.
Yip yipahooooo yipyipyip.
