I like the looks of that and flat out love my Shrew Hawk.  My plan for the season (and for backpacking, camping, etc.) is to carry the Shrew Hawk, necker and a Swiss Army.  That ought to be adequate edged goodness to cover the vast majority of my cutting needs.   :D

Just got me a mini GFA that really seems to fit with a variety of activities.  Used it the workshop and around the home.  Always seem to need a knife, and now I don't need to pack a pocket knife any more.

I cant stand heavy items around my neck,My Steadfast or k-bar on the hip or pack is all I need.And my Kershaw scallion on my pocket.

Here's mine, an AG Russell that is less than $30. It does everything, big game, small game, fish, turkeys. My wife liked it so much I had to get her one...she even uses it in the kitchen. Takes and holds a razor edge. I wear it under my shirt whenever I am in the out doors. Never is a problem when shooting my bow.

Is that a crappie?
I see the sunfish (what a beautiful thing!), and it looks like two crappies.

You might want another kind of fish for your ad campaign. Just thinkin'.

Two of them are Speckled Bass (crappie)..they're fun to catch on a fly rod but not as good eating as Sunfish or Bluegills.

What kind of fish should I use?....   :dunno:

I have a Skullworks necker (Dalmation Ebony & Ziricote to match my Buffalo bow) that Clarence made for me in a trade.  It also has a flip away portion with belt slots that I can use.  I bought some braided elastic from Walmart in the sewing department and got a good snug fit so the knife wouldn't interfere with the string but still easily stretches over my head.  I'm really loving it so far!  I'll try to get some pics posted although I'm a little embarassed of my sewing job on the elastic band.    :o

I think a chain pickerel would do it, or any one of those muskellunge-y pike family fish.

I would rather buy a pike poker than a crappie knife.   ;)

Actually, some of the best eating I ever had was a huge crappie I caught one year at Lake Anna. I wonder if the nuclear plant had something to do with that...

I've had a Cold Steel bird and trout knife for quite a while but I've never been able to warm up to it. I have a Puma folder that's more to my liking for every day stuff. Maybe it's that cold steel neck chain that gets to me? Now you got me to thinkin?????

Fred Asbell had a neck knife article in the 20th Anniversary issue of Trad Bowhunter (Oct/Nov 2009). That was my first intro to these unique knives. Most who have them, love them, it seems. I'm getting one for around the farm , daily life and hunting, of course. So easy to get to.
Funnily enough Mr. Asbell took some heat in the next issue from someone that thought an article on knives had no place in an archery mag....
Mr. LaClair, I'd suggest a couple of male Speckled Trout in fall breeding colour for a knife ad. They are spectacular.
