New Bow
« on: May 08, 2007, 03:16:00 PM »
Got me a new bow, new for me. Didn't know if I'd like it or not.  But after shootin' a few and gettin' the feel for it I started shootin' groups like this.  It's only at 15 yards, but I'm lovin' it.  Would ya consider it a keeper?

Looks good to me!!  What kind of bow did you get?  You should post some pics of the bow as well.  I think I would consider that a keeper for now.

Here's a pic of the bow.  She's a real handful.  A full 42" tip to tip.

It's made by Rodney Wright.  It's his 46" Stalker Recurve.  I read the review done by Pete Ward and it made me wanna give it a try.  It's right @ 60# @ 28", and hits where I'm lookin' at.  I like that.  Here's another pic next to a 3D turkey target.

And to think that people say that short bows are not accurate!!!! I've got bows that range from 62" to 52" and to me I can't tell any diference in the way that they shoot. For the terrain and the style of hunting that I do give me a short bow any day.  JMHO  Brokenwing

Jump over to the Pete Ward site and look up the Review of this bow in the Traditional section. There you will find full draw pics.
Cooments say the bow pulls to 28" and then stops, meaning you cannot pull it back any further.
I believe the web-site is:
http://www.peteward.com    Be prepared to turn the Volume down on your PC though;)
