What cleans sap off ceder shafting? I'm using rubbing alchohol now, is there something better?

I've used acetone. It cleans the sap well and doesn't leave anything to intefere with topcoats or colors.

Im with guy , when you have that old pitch oosing out clean with acetone , it wont mess with your finish as it evaporates quickly

Just got 2 dozen shafts from 3rivers last week. Attached was a note stating to use acetone to remove any sap from the shafts.... So my vote is also Acetone...

I use Lacquer for dipping my shafts. A quick rub of lacquer thinner will pull off any sap and the shafts will then dip just fine - clear or colored.
