Michigan Bowfishing from Hespotuckey
« on: July 03, 2010, 09:18:00 AM »
KHALVERSON and I went out last night on a local lake. We both scored with our first shots. My Zipper is a fun bowfishing bow with nice mass in the riser and that super smooth draw. After the first fish is hit it even quits counting your misses!

That's KHALVERSON in the pics. Our bowfishing success pictures usually have him or his son in them  :bigsmyl:  But my bowfishing bow is WAY sexier.

Nice boat!  good looking dogfish too, how often do you guys get out, have been thinking about getting out on Saginaw bay, but stuff keeps slowing us down. Hope to get out at night soon seems to be way more fun at night , fish less spooky to. Todd

Haven't been out much this year. Night shooting is so much MORE fun because of all the fish and crtitters that you see up close. Its like sitting on top of an aquarium.

Mike, did you build that deck on the front of the boat??  looking to build one for my boat, looks like it just rests on the front of the boat, so it can be removed for fishing. Todd

i built the deck
it rests between the front and middle seat in the boat and is held down from the bottom with a ratchet strap
there is also a trapped door that allows for storage of bows and other gear under the platform
it works well and weighs around 90 pounds

Todd, Kevin is great at designing and manufacturing just about anything. Hespotuckey is our nickname for our little hick village. I hear if I can pass the test I can be the substitute village idiot.

Hespotuckey is not so bad, here in the village of North Branch you can buy t-shirts that read:

"North Branch a quaint little drinking village with a farming problem"

no joke, have seen quite a few folks with a "farming problem" wearing them out around town.

Very classy, Todd
