Painting my new block target.
« on: July 05, 2010, 10:56:00 PM »
I have been shooting all brown targets for years, mostly 3D deer along with left over pieces of old 3D targets, or just into my sandpile.  I just ordered a rinhart 18-1 target, I am planning on painting it brown when I get it as I was always taught to pic a spot on an all one colored target. My question is all of these new block targets have all kinds of dots on them, am I missing something, in my daily shooting, could shooting at dots some of the time improve my instinctive shooting?

It has helped me to focus harder on "the spot" that I pick.  Now when I shoot at a solid color target, I find it easier to hit "the spot."
