to much brace height?

my bowyers recomendation is around 7 1/4". The bow feels better at 8" - 8 1/4". no vibration or shock on release. it is marked 51@28. I draw 29-29.5"
is there any way I am damaging the bow in anyway by having the brace up to 8"? im not concerned with string life i just want to make sure my bow is good to go.

It all depends on the bow design and your draw length.  I would ask the boyer for recommendations on max safe brace.  Most bows have a larger safe range than what they say is the normal range.  I think all bows are a little different and some just work better for some shooters a little outside the normal range.  I had a curve with a range recommended brace from 7 1/4" to 8" but the boyer said he ran his at 8 1/2".

The most common issue is how much slower the bow is.  If you are not concerned with the speed I would keep the brace height high.

 im not concerned with speed. i get a ton of penetration into my broadhead target and plenty of kinetic energy. Im just making sure im not doing any long term damage.

Increased brace height usually makes for a louder bow.  It decreases velocity, affects spine.  That said, some bows like a brace height above that recommended by the maker.

I suggest paper tuning.  Lots of articles on how to do that.

uh, never mind. Im not paper tuning a bow that is tuned and shooting great! I just wanted some advice on wear and tear with a higher than normal brace hieght.
