5/16th shafts
« on: July 17, 2010, 06:53:00 PM »
I want to use 125G or a little higher Braodheads on 5/16" cegar shafts.  I can only find 110g Zwickeys.  Do you think it would be fine to glue 11/32" heads on the 5/16" shafts?

You could grind a little off the base of the ferrule and turn them into 5/16 heads.

They should glue on fine. They will, of course be a tad bigger than your shaft, but that could cause less friction maybe ?  I have full size broadheads on screw in adapters for my narrow carbons and they shoot fine.

I have done it with no problems, they are just a little harder to get to line up straight.

Some HEAD-SHRINKERS that were made back in the day for Original FORGEWOOD shafts that were made in a handful of Sizes would work great if you can find some !!!! Only 1 size Head-Shrinker as far as I know fit all the Forgewoods.
