Thanks tnbuckskinner

I`ve been wanting a Great Northern "Bushbow" for some time. It would be my first longbow.

Found one here on Tradgang. The draw weight was right, the description was perfect, and the price was right.

I contacted the seller, tnbuckskinner, and he agreed to holding the bow for a short time while I got the money together. Did I mention I want to thank him for this?  :D

I built two Carbonwood 5000 shafts full length, weighted to 700 grains with a 175 grain head. Not knowing what to expect, they fly like a dream.

I`m still getting to know it, but when I am able to pry it from my kids hands I shoot it pretty good for such a short introduction. His description was 8.5 out of 10, well it`s more like 9.5. Thanks yet again for that too!

I want to thank Jeff Outlaw "tnbuckskinner" for his patience on this...I just had a feeling with this one, and I was right. I`m glad it didn`t get away! 61@28" 64". I`m getting 66lbs at my draw length, and with 700 grains there is plenty of punch! Almost silent at release!!!

Some pics to follow from between downpours today, including my 12 yr old at his full draw, and my fifteen yard two shot groups.

Jeff's a good dude. Nice bow, have wanted to try one myself.
Hunting with the bow and arrow involves earning your way by making meat, getting your hands messy in the process and then recognizing your own reflection upon them.
