Those look awesome! Nice job on the footed risers and the shape of the risers as a whole. Curious question. What's the story with the little blonde stripe at the top of the sight window? Looks like you have spliced the risers but I don't see them  on the belly side or front edge. mike

Thanks all. Bodork, yes the risers are spliced. The best wood I could find was 4/4 lumber and the riser is 1.5" so glued 2 pieces of the 1" stuff together and tablesawed it so the splice was in the center. I put a .020" maple veneer between the boards to give me a good centerline reference for the shelf and limb alignment. Not sure if I will do that next time. There is a piece of .040 clear glass on the back of the riser and an overlay over that and the pics dont show the belly very well.

Great looking bows and an awesome idea to make a set of each limbs! When do you go into business?

Nice Dan, very impressive for your first bows of this type. Or your 100'th.  Looks like we have  some of the same likes in our bows. "I can relate to your creations man."   :saywhat:

Those bows are just flat out gorgeous!!! Incredible work, I sure wish I had even a small percentage of the talent it took to make those bows!!!
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

Thanks guys,
I will post pics of the lighter one soon. It is completed now. Turned out very well. Just wish I could have found some copperhead skins for these. Would have looked good with the red in the tulipwood.

I'd hold out for a hog AND a deer hunt!  What the heck kind of name is Stripstrike 1 anyway?!
