Groves recurve value ??
« on: July 22, 2010, 05:51:00 PM »
Buddy brought in his two Groves (he bought them new)).

One is a 41# Flame Hunter X-660 and the other is a Prestige Special 34# overdraw jobby.

He's wanting to know the value, and I haven't found any sold on ****. Just started my search of trad bow forums.

Thanks in advance.

I would say the Flame Hunter is a lower end bow, not Dynastressed and worth about $175-$225 in excellent condition.

The Prestige is more valuable but that weight is common. I would say about $200-$250 for the Prestige.

Thanks.

The Flame Hunter looks to be in VG shape, has camo paint on some of it. No nicks or holes, dunno about stress marks.

The Prestige would have been mint, if it weren't for the ding in the riser, above the shelf where a cushion plunger might be located. Dunno how it got marred. It was in reportedly mint shape last he checked on it.

Looking for folks who might restore it. Wood has chunked out in a small area. Think this will require epoxy repair and paint to match, small area.
