Today on my third shot, I suffered a string failure. This is the second time in less than 10 days. Both times the lower loop broke and it appears that it broke in the area that it contacts the string nock.
I have inspected the nock and cannot see or feel any burrs, nicks or other imperfections.
I am going to take some ultra fine sandpaper and hit the area up just to make sure.
What else can I do??? I am toying with the idea of doing a double layer of serving on the loops or wrapping the loop with yarn to prevent wear. Any other ideas would be welcomed.
Also...I am currently shooting a 14 strand endless bow string. Should I be shooting more strands out of a 55# bear Super Kodiak? My draw length is 30 inches so I figure I am shooting around 60#
Thanks
Jim
