Thoughts on Bob Lee Longbow
« on: July 31, 2010, 09:02:00 AM »
I'm thinking about trying one of the TD longbows. What do you guys think about them. I have never had a longbow, always shot a recurve.

Thanks
Bill

I have owned both td recurve and longbow. The
td longbow is a great shooter just like there
recurves. The limbs will fit both risers I think.

I have 3-BL risers with recurve and longbow limbs for all.My newest  15" riser with longbow limbs in 60" is a lot of limbs and very little riser and I really like it.Gonna be my go to this year but may also use the 56' recurve limbs also.I have tried other bows but non shot better or worse that my Lees so just stayed with them b/c had so many diff. limbs to mix and match.Kip

I think you will like it. I had 2 ,still have one. Mine is 49#@28-62" long, smooth and has good cast.As with a lot of bows of the style it has some heft to it, but some folks like that!

I consider it a straight limbed recurve. Great Plains makes a 3 piece takedown that is more of a "longbow" in my opinion.

Bob Lee though is a "stand up" company and you will be satisfied with their service.
Until next time...good shooting,
Lee

You will have a very and I mean very hard time beating a Bob Lee. They might not be the fanciest but they are unbelievable performers, You can't go wrong. I've got about 6 bowyers that I put up top and Bob Lee is one of them.

I love my short risered TD longbow, every Lee I've ever owned has been consistently good.

By "straight limbed recurve" I don't mean to imply it has a straight limb. I am suggesting it is more of a recurve with a lesser curve than the typical recuve, but in my opinion it is more like a recurve bow than a longbow.
Until next time...good shooting,
Lee

I have a Bob Lee short riser longbow and love it. You can't beat a company that's been around as long as Bob Lee. Customer service is outstanding.
