Quiver

I was curious to know if the bow quivers that slide over the limbs affect the performance of the bow?

I've found the ones that slide over the limbs are heavy and tend to torque the bow in my hand. The EF quivers are much lighter and do not tend to have an adverse effect of the feel of the bow. Just my $0.02 worth.

I've tyried those and agree with Mr. O'Shay. They just seem to throw the bows balance off to me.

Never had a problem with the Selway slide on quiver on my Hill style longbows but I always made sure to get them down on the fade outs so they were not on a working part of the limb.  Any quiver will need to be on a nonworking part of the bow.

I have shot selway slide-on quivers on my bows several times over the years with no issues. They are great quivers. But, for now my favorite is a great northern strap on...just trips my trigger.

I'm with David, I have used only Selway slide ons for years with no issues, but I do slide them all the way down till they meet the riser. They work great for me, I would use no other, very quiet and very solid, and look like they are a part of the bow. Nothing looks better to me than a leather Selway slide on slipped on my bow.

I use the Boa strap-ons as well. I like being able to remove the quiver when I stand or blind hunt. Like the others have said, I make sure the quiver is right above the riser and on the non-working part of the fades.

When i do shoot with the quiver attached, it doesn't seem to cause me any problems.
