Chek-mate 56"er hunter questions
« on: May 13, 2007, 09:20:00 AM »
Those of you the own a Chekmate 56" Hunter, is there any finger pinch beyond 28"?  My draw is around 28 1/2" and I'm wondering how they draw.  How's the stack beyond 28"?  They look like awesome bows, I just want to be sure before making the investment.  Thanks.

I shoot a 52" bow at 28" with no problems, I can't see a 1/2" being that much of an issue on a 56" bow.

You'll do fine with that bow. It did just fine at my long draw of near 31". It did stack a little at that point.

Thanks guys.  Using a ground blind for turkeys, this bow will be a lot better than the 62"er.  Anymore comments?

The 56" will handle your draw just fine--it's good for up to around 30".  Finger pinch will depend on your hand size--I have big hands (wedding band is size 15), and I get some with it, but I can shoot it.

Another one to consider in the Chek-Mate line is the Raven one-piece--52", great bow for tight spots.  It will handle up to about 29".

Only problem I had with my short hunter was the sight window is short, other than that loved it and killed 2 deer and a hog with it.

If you can find one, the chek mate firebird is the killer blind bow. 56 inches and smooth as butter and I draw 29 inches on a good day.  There was one for sale the other day, I won't ever part with mine.
If your shooting stinks, work with a Form master.  It'll bring back your A game.
