Bow setup?
« on: August 02, 2010, 09:12:00 AM »
Hey everyone! Just bought a new bow the other day, a vintage 1970 45# Bear Kodiak mag and was trying to set this bow up. I currently shoot a custom recurve 53# @ 28" and use the carbon express heritage 150's and they fly great. I was thinking I would be able to use those arrows for the Kodiak but they don't fly so good especially trying to use the 145 grain razorheads. Was wondering if I should try some CX 90'S or if there is anything else I can do? Thanks

If you want to use the shafts you already have will need to go up in point weight to weaken the spine. Or get new or longer 150s then tune by shortening shaft will probably end up around 30" shaft.
