i have six apples trees on my farm that i planted eight years ago.  they were full of apples this year but they drop in early august so they are no good for hunting.  now i'm planting several varities of jap persimmon.  they drop extra sweet fruit from sept. through nov.  hopefully in a couple years all my planting will start paying off.
