Color phase bears to choose from and a real hog there. Looks like you'll be having some fun.

I would bet the ranch that the first one is a sow. She's huge. Only sure way to tell is to get them to drop their drawers and look:) Seriously, been on 7 hunts so far and have shot 2 sows thinking they were boars. The first one I shot(the biggest) made pope and young. She was aged at 17 years. As a general rule, mature boars heads look very square and blocky. Sows and young boars heads will be narrow and look "streamlined" Look at the head on the first picture, she has a huge body but a tiny angular head, probably a sow. Another general rule, sows are the first to show at a bait site. The mature boars will hang back to see if there is any danger. Not an exact science. Hope this helps.

Great pics! Just gets me more fired up for my fall hunt. That first one sure is a bruiser!

Very cool! Let's hope that the big  bruiser in the top pic shows up when you do. Sweet stuff!!

AWESOME PICS!!!!!

You have to get down out of the stand and lift their tail before you shoot to see if it is a sow or a Boar.

Let us know how that works for you.  LOL!!!

GET A BIG ONE!!  If they keep coming in nocturnally, you may need a night vision scope for your recurve.  HA HA!!

Keep the pics coming and the hunting stories!

I would love a chance at one of them.  :)
