fall set up - apology for forgotten commitment
« on: August 12, 2010, 08:48:00 PM »
I have posted several times here that I intend to hunt with my '60 Grizzly.  Well, I need to change that now.

I made a commitment earlier this year to fellow tradganger shaft slinger.  When I bought this bow I told him I would use it at a 3D shoot or hunting.  Well, I never even made it to a shoot.

I had forgotten this commitment until yesterday.  It's getting late to make the shift, but my first shot at 20 yards today was a bullseye.  I finished with these 3 at the same distance.

Maybe karma will pay off and I can get a deer and still have season left for the '60.

My apologies for forgetting this shaft slinger.

Colin, no apoligy nessary, hunt with the bow that works best for you.
With that kind of shooting you should not have any problem no matter what bow you use.

I'd like to see a full picture of that bow - looks cool!
And the only one that should be worrying about switching bows so close to the season are the critters you will be shooting at  :readit:
Nice shooting!

Harold,
This bow treats me just fine.  In terms of accuracy with the shot, this bow is the one I have the most confidence in using.  However, I am 6'2" and this bow is 66".  I just need to be a bit more particular about shooting space.  I guess I will just get more exercise preparing shooting lanes in the coming weeks as I'll need some clearance up in the trees.

Whip, I will send some pictures to you.  I love this bow.  66" 1959 KS at 48#.  It's a bit yellowed on the limbs and has black overlays but the riser is great.  After this season I am going to have the limbs re-done.

I'll be loaded with kharma this season.  This bow, a knife I bought in a fundraiser, and my St. Jude's quiver.
