Got out again over the weekend to a different area, most places locally this year they are not in the alpine much, plenty of feed for them at lower elevations.  But the new area is looking good, saw one small brown bear, one large brown bear, 2 small black bears, and one very large black bear.  I'm after the large one !  I watched him for 10-15 minutes feeding on berries, before he moved into the brush just before dark.  He's what we call a belly-dragger; so big and fat you can hardly tell he has legs, and his belly seems to almost drag on the ground.  Anyway, I'll be after him later this week.  Heres a couple pics of him.

1st:  thats him in the middle of the slope.

and zoomed in a bit, still can't see his legs !

Hope you enjoy !

Thank you fing!!!! That's awesome!!

If that's a little brownie, I'm not sure I'd want to go after a big one...lol

I really appreciate your setting this one up so old feeble eyed folks can see it too.

Good Luck.

Sorry if I'm a little ignorant, what is the difference between a  brown bear and a grizzly?

I'm enjoying the pics.
Relax,

They're the same species.  But average size generally decreases as you get further from the coast, where salmon are more abundant.  The records folks have a line drawn inland from the coast; inland of the line its considered a grizzly, coastal of the line its a brown.  There's exceptions of course, in both the size of the bears and the abundance of salmon.
