If someone's giving you grief over it, don't pay them no mind. Just keep having fun and outshoot 'em while they're running around in circles trying to figure out where they fit in!

carbon's w/selfbow... Next You'll be asking for a metal riser for Your T/D bow or want to use fiberglass to make limbs for Your bow or make a bow with fiberglass.
Just kidding. if Your not going to a shoot where the rules say You can only use wood arrows. Who cares what type of shaft Your using...

I've been debating about switching to carbons for hunting with my self bows as well, i once showed up at a trad shoot with aluminum arrows (didn't know how to make my own woodies back then), everyone laughed and i was the butt of all the jokes that weekend. but i was probably the only one without a broken arrow at the end of it all.
use what works best for you.

Yes you have Ron.... not taboo to me, so to answer the question, No.
JD.... Simple, hook it on the string, yank it back, and let it go. Works all day long.

I'm pretty sure American indians would have been shooting carbon arrows at buffalo and especially the super skinny ones if they had them available.
Sometimes we forget that traditional today was mainstream and high tech centuries ago.

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow’s effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs

Don’t get all worked up. Its just some BS between Loyd and myself. I agree with what you said. My carbons shoot out of all my BBO and I have no problem shooting them.
