Texas Tales???
« on: May 15, 2007, 01:01:00 AM »
Anyone got a good story from a hunt that you were on in Texas and you'd like to share with some bowhunters in Texas?

The Lone Star Bowhunter magazine (non-profit mag of the LSBA) is needing some good bowhunting stories for our SUMMER and FALL 2007 issues. Texas resident/LSBA member or not, I will consider all submissions that in any way relate to both Texas and bowhunting...even if it has already been published in your home State's newsletter/magazine or other publication, we will consider passing it on to our Membership as well.

Electronic submissions please, 500-1500 words in Word .doc format. Please include photos as separate attachments.

Send submissions to [email protected]

Thanks and I look forward to reading your Texas Tales.

On a cold day in December of 1967 I was born. There was a war raging in the East, The Hippie movement was in full swing, and womens lib was just taking hold of the nation. A few years later I got a little bow for my birthday and...... Aww, I think that's going too far back.  :bigsmyl:   CK

Born in 67 - whow, I would have been at the "war raging in the East", wishing I was back in the US for the Hippie movement!!    ;)
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming, "WOW, what a ride!!" Unknown Author

Sorry Tinman, I seem to have derailed this thread. Kinda cute responses though.  :D   I'd be glad to write something up from a Texas resident Outfitters viewpoint of out-of-state hunters coming here to hunt hogs If you think you'd use it. CK

Dangit Tinman, I forgot all about the articles.  I have the two we talked about...time to get off my rear and get them paired down.  I can get them to you by the end of the week.

Will do!  I am gonna try and get em edited and counted (I tend to get a little "wordy" when describing my favorite adventures)...should have the first one soon though.  Take care.
