The first section of the wing, to the front of the bird are the primary.  There are usually 8-10 in this section.  The next section of the wing are the secondaries, they are softer, does not have a very high oil line, and some say are louder than the stiffer primaries.  But the secondarys make awesome flu flu's and stumping arrows so save then all.  The tail feathers also make great two fletch arrows.  And yes, I can grind the tail feathers now as well if anyone is interested.

Mason and I just got our feathers back from Charlie, " stringstretcher "...... What quality work and service ! Got them back lightning fast too. Spring turkeys best look out ! The Canadian geese at all our parks will get chased around this June too during molting season.

We plan on doing some after deer season scouting and we normally do that on nasty drizzly wet days to stave off cabin fever. We will use the goose fletching on them wet days for our squirrel arrows. Love to scout on wet days to keep down noise, scent and allow close shots on ground feeding squirrels.

Thanks again Charlie you are awesome brother !   :clapper:
