Vented magnus 125 question
« on: August 31, 2010, 05:48:00 PM »
Well, I ahve been shooting my wood shafts real good.  My 125 vented magnus fly true and very quiet.  I find them easy to sharpen and can get tehm to pop hair in short order.  Anyone have any experience with theses heads?  My set up is a 500 grain arrow with the 125 head.  I am shooting a 64 inch longbow, 48 @ my 30 inch draw, 177.7 fps  on the chrono.  I thought that was pretty fast, VERY quiet.  I wish I had more weight up front, but I thnk I will be fine for deer.  Any reviews on these heads?

Bob.

I use those BH's on my 55# and 45#... I have a 75gr insert to bring it up to 200gr.... they fly well ....are easy to sharpen and are accurate...

I have killed several deer with that head. Not sure if it really matters but I follow their advise and square off the tip.

Sorry to be the negative here but they really whistle when I have shot them, thus I did not hunt them, they do sharpen up quickly and very sharp as do all magnus heads.
currently I shoot the magnus unvented head or a zwickey eskimo.....
