We are heading down to Glendale/Moundsville West (By God) Virginia this weekend for a family reunion, and was just wondering the off chance that there is a fellow Trad Ganger in the area.  If so, I would love to bring my 2 son's bows arrows and my own to do some target shooting if time allows.

Anyway, let me know if anyone is from around there.  I just picked those towns because those are the closest big towns to my wife's grandma's house.  She is actually in the hills not far from Cameron.  And when I say hills, I mean HILLS.  All I know is if I ever hear banjo's playing I'm out of there.  LOL

I talked with him a few weeks ago, and I think he is a ways further south of there.  Thanks for the reminder though.  I will PM him.

Don't run from the banjos, they could be some of the best folks you ever met. My family is from those hills only down in the New Martinsville/ Sistersville area. Had a Farm up there until about 8 years ago,(long story concerning land scamming of old folks.) Had great deer hunting, if I still had it available to me I would be glad to meet you up there.
My wife is also a direct descendant of Valentine Hatfield. So we have deep roots in them there hills!

Man, I wish it was another weekend. Wont be home. I have to go play my banjo.  :deadhorse:
No, really, good people in Cameron. I'm just acrossed the border in Ohio. Bearbowman actually lives about an hour North of Moundsville. If you get back up on another weekend please get in touch. We love to shoot our bows and play our banjos!

We are staying near the Mall in Ohio just across the border, and traveling to my wife's grandma's everyday, and taking the kids out to see the beautiful sights.  We are going to take another tour of the now closed penitentuary, and of course we have to go to the Hari Chrisna Palace of Gold.  My wife was tool all her life growing up that if she went in there they would keep you, so the first time I went there, she sat in the truck until I went in the palace, and then she was quickly behind me because she didn't want to be left alone in the parking lot.  Once inside, it is respectful to remove your shoes, and she refused because she wanted to be able to run if need be, so they gave here blue slip overs for her shoes.  I love the area, and the people of West Virginia.  They all remind me of being in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

I've been going there for the past 10 years for a family reunion down there, and when we take the camper, the joke is that we are the only ones within 10 miles that has running water.  I loved when they put in the Cabela's near Wheeling.  It has not changed in my eyes at all.  The Olgal Bay Zoo is a nice place to visit, but I just couldn't get over going up and down all the hills in the zoo pushing a stroller.  I did however put a butt load of food pellets on my son's food tray on the stroller, and let him go in the goat pen.  To this day he is begging me to go goat hunting.  I told him when he is strong enough to shoot 40#, I will take him.

My wife worked at the Ogle bay zoo. Lived not far from there for awhile. Some dang nice bucks around there. A bunch of traditional bowhunters around there also.
