Deer/Turkey opens up here in KY on Sat. morning! I have seen a bunch of young bucks and does, and several turkeys, right in front of my various blinds. Two days ago I went to watch one food plot, and saw 22 turkeys, 2 were dusting inside my permanent blind!! I believe I will be there at daylight, Saturday monring, gotta see if I can keep my lucky streak going on turkeys this year. I have shot religously, daily all year, last 2 weeks cut back on number of shots, down to about 40 a day, concentrating on making really good shots, having to refletch a lot of arrow, everything is coming together great. My wife is fired up too, and 4 weeks from tomorow, I leave for Colrado elk hunting! I have slept little, and dream about hunting all night, shot several deer, turkeys and a bear and hog in dreams last 3 nights, told my wife it was plumb wearing me out working all night tracking, dragging and dressing out this game, then getting up at 5 am to go to work, getting to old for this at nearly 50!! I fell like a kid at Christmas at this time of year, just cant wait.

I am having a hard time firing up for our season starting Sept.18 here in Wis. Only saw 9 deer last year 3 were Bucks. I use to dream about shooting a big buck. Now i only hope i see a deer.

I know how you feel I got 2 more weeks.  Not sure I'm going to make it.
