I am shooting Axis skinny carbons and made a small camera mount to take self pictures.
Here is the list of Materials.
Thread rod 1/4-20x 3 inch
T-Nuts 1/4-20 x 7/16 found in hardware in furniture section
Metric self pin 5mm
7/8 wood dowel
5/16 drill
13/64 drill
Cut the spikes from the T-Nuts with a dremel tool.
Then cut the 1/4 inch threaded rod so it just fits in the T-Nut sleeve. Then You take your wooden dowel about a inch long and drill a 5/16 drill hole in the center of one end and a 13/64 hole centered on the other.
glue all the pieces together and it should look like this. It will screw into the bottom of a standard camera mount. The other end fits into your carbon arrow.
If you get an animal down, you can stick one of your arrows in the ground and mount your camera. Set the timer and take a picture with your animal. You can also take an extra 5mm pin and take your nock an tip off a second arrow and make the mount two arrow high.
