I understand what the old guy meant by the fire talking to you. I can't wait to camp and build be a fire weather it is with people or without, I can set by a fire all night just watching it. God Bless Ty

I've heard it said the time you spend fishing doesn't count against the time you are given in this life. I belive that goes as well for time spent around a campfire.

Just last night spent several hours outside around a wood fire.  Good friends, good memories, good times.

I can almost smell the smoke and hear the wood crackeling...  There is just something about the dance of the flames and the rising sparks that will carry away all the cares of life for a while. Peaceful.

My husband, Mockingbird, likes to use flint and steel. A fire pit is about the only thing that can roust him out of bed early in the morning. I guess I picked a good one.
