Place to shoot in Grande Cache Alberta

I am leaving home on the 12th driving to Grande Cache Alberta to go elk hunting. Plan on getting to Grande Cache on the 14th if every thing goes according to plans. My hunt does not start until the 16th so I will be looking for something to do on the 15th. Is there some place to shoot in Grande Cache?

Hey Marty,On the 18th I'm picking up Two tradgangers from Arkansas in Edmonton Alberta then we're driving to my sons in Grande Praire (about 100 miles North of you) ,heading about 40 miles south of GP way in the bush to hunt Elk for a week.I 'm not sure where you could shoot.I'd just take some judo pionts and enjoy the country.She sure is pretty around there.

I killed an elk exactly where you're going. Well....not exactly but between GC and GP. My brother in law and sister live in GC. He bowhunts (new to the sport) but I'll call him and get back to you on where to go shoot.....Ryan

Alrighty...made some calls! There's a gun club just north of town that has archery targets, including 3D targets. I'll PM you particulars...Ryan

Thanks for the info. Where I am going is also between GP and GC in the Kakwa River country.

Hey Marty ,By chance are you hunting with Kakwa Outfitters.The owner Rick Houerling works with my son there good friends and Firefighters in GP ,My son helps Rick guide from time to time.
