which glove?!
« on: September 11, 2010, 09:59:00 AM »
I just bought a dura glove from 3 rivers and im very disappointed! After shooting 4 dozen arrows my fingers were on fire! So I am going to get a new one but which one? I dont care about how much it costs but i want a glove  that is very strong and can be shot in cold or hot weather. I was looking at the American Leathers full shot glove. Is this glove durable and are the finger tips leather or that nylon stuff?

I have two of the American Leathers big shot gloves, and I will use nothing else. The tips are nylon webbing with neoprene underneath. They protect your fingers like no other glove I have tried, and I get a good release with it too.

Big shot for padding and super glove for a little less padding, but cordovan tips.  I had a dura glove and didn't like it.  More to do with the seams or something if I recall correctly.

Is the Buffalo BigShot worth the extra $$ over the BigShot?

American Leathers Big Shot is the way to go.  The only glove you will ever need.  Really protects your fingers and you get a excellent release.

Early in the summer I purchased one of the American Leathers "Full Shot" gloves. I was having trouble with the first knuckle on my middle finger of my right hand.

This glove, without a doubt gives me the most protection of any glove that I have had the opportunity to shoot to date. Very well made, and should last several years.

In my opinion, you can't go wrong with one of the American Leathers model gloves.

I have both. I like the buffalo one a little better. less stretch than elk hide, so it maintains fit better.

I've shot regularly for over a year now with my Super Glove, it's still in great shape.
