Great time this mourning, put a couple of turkeys out walking in. Heard them later but never saw them.Had a red squirrel share my ground blind for a minute but not much else was going on. Nice mourning till it warmed up and the skeetters came a calling. Still not a bad way to spend some time.

I saw a buck real early then heard something go through the swamp but could not see it. Ten minutes later I hear my brother fire the 30-06. Nine minutes later a second shot. He got a 175# male. Very nice coat and nice looking bear. I am still up at camp and staying for the weekend. Of course the bear goes to the guy with the rifle not the longbow. Very happy for him. Guess I can't post pics as it is not a trad kill. Good luck to all out there.

Oh, I was there, Ken. Waited till about 10, then covered some ground. Stayed close enough to the medicine stand for another hour or two that I think we were within spitting distance of each other and didn't even realize it.

Made it up to the flats and wound up putting the stalk on what turned out to be another fisher. At the time he sounded bigger though...
Other than those turkeys and one of Chuck's black squirrels that pulled a disappearing act, nothing else was seen bro.

Wish I could make it up tommarrow. Sure sounds like all it'll take is time on stand to make it happen...
