I built a quiver using this design
http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=40;t=000090
I used corrugated 3" drain pipe from lowes
http://www.lowes.com/pd_187404-124-03550010_4294822008_4294937087?productId=3221923
Super stong and light.
Here are some photos. Hope to try it out soon. The strap is a Timbuk2 quick adjust strap which I really like on my commuter bag. So I used it on the quiver ($10). I made the cover with 1000 D Cordura Nylon hthat I sewed on my sailrite sewing machine.

Nice work. I started building one like this last month to hook to my backpack but it still sits in the garage unfinished. Maybe this will motivate me to finish it.

Thanks for the feed back. I will let you know how it works.
The tube is lined with 1/8 packing sheet foam inside and out. The foam along with the nylon in and out keeps it quite. The soft top allows for extrating an arrow without making the solid tube longer.
