In a jam you can tie a strap/line around a quickee quiver. seems about everyone has one of those layin around.

While I have several bowquivers, I really don't like them.

I tend to use a back quiver for small game hunting and an old Bear belt quiver designed to hold 4 or 5 broadhead tipped arrows for big game.

The Eagles Flight Bowquivers are the best bow quiver on the market.  Personally, I do not shoot as well wearing a quiver and like to have my arrows tight.  The EFA's are small and super super light making them have no noticable effect on your shooting.  I have a mini that carries 4 arrows.  It shoots the same with the arrows in or out... AND it keeps everything together for easier travel in the woods...

This all said, I would avoid other bow quivers that tend to be heavier and bulkier.

Just my humble opinion.
God Bless,
Erik

I use a great northern, 1 that attaches to the bow and put a strap on it and carry it like the GFA style.

Sounds like the Safari Tuff is a good bet also. I have been reading about them for a year now, never seen one in person. They look large, are they? Also, I shoot a 30" arrow if that matters as far as gettin gthem in and out easily.

My wife gave me a nice backquiver for Christmas about 6 years ago and our daughter & son-in-law gave me a Catquiver 1 for Christmas 3 years ago and I just hang  which ever  one I use beside in the tree.

I have an old leather back quiver that is as broke in as they come, the arrows still rattle around in there and make noise. I have narrowed my undecisive self down to the Catquiver I or the Safari Tuff, I have two weeks before the season opens. Thanks for ALL the suggestions guys!

I would also recommend the Safari Tuff.  Bought one a couple years ago.  It's a little larger than my Jack Bower Side Stalker that I've used since the 80's.  Either one are great quivers.

Pearl Drums, it's been said, but I've made a very usable GFA quiver from my bow quiver. It's easy & you can always undo it & use the bowquiver again if you want to. You can adjust the strap to let the quiver ride however high you want to. I like mine.

Frank V I whipped up a GFA style last night before I went doe hunting and used it to see what I thought. Suprisingly enough there were a few does and fawns in the feild already so I had a chance to try a stalk with the quiver I threw together. I loved it, it worked perfectly. I see now why the type they sell has wool on the hood, my plastic hood made plenty of noise, that is my only complaint with that style. I am going to cover it with leather or mole skin and use it through the season.

If you have an old fleece hat slide it over it and attach and trim. How did the stalk go?

The stalk was awesome, got within 40 yards on two different stalks. They both busted me with their eyes.....oh well its too warm to butcher a deer right now anyway! Still had fun.

I have a Highnoon quiver that I'll never part with. The fleece cinch that keeps arrrows from rattling is slick!
